1. 3G - Third generation Mobile Telecommunications technology. 2. 3GPP - 3rd Generation Partnership Project 3. ABS - See Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene. 4. Acceptor - The entity, usually a merchant, that accepts a card for a transaction. 5. Access Control - A means of controlling access to locations of devices via identification methods. 6. ACQ - See Acquirer. 7. Acquirer - The entity, usually a bank, that processes a merchant's transaction, passing them onto the clearing house. 8.
